Text: 2 Corinthians 5:16 - 6:10

As Christians we constantly face the problem of losing our perspective on life.  One of the ways that we can help to maintain a proper Godly perspective is to remember that we are called to be ambassadors for Christ.  Listen as one of our church members, Robbie Roberts, speaks on this subject.

Outline:
1) What is an ambassador? - Greek word Presbus - or old man.  Ambassadors were usually older and wiser men who knew the King's positions very well. Ambassadors are sent out from their homeland to serve in a foreign land. Ambassadors are not important for who they are but for who they represent.

2) Who are Ambassadors for Christ?  As Christians we all are. (see verse 5:18) - "given us"

3) What is the Message? - The Ministry of reconciliation. (see verse 5:18-19) Reconciliation can be thought of as the theme of Christianity. Christians must be reconciled to God in order to be saved.  How is this possible?  (see verse 5:21)

4) For How Long is the Message of Reconciliation Available? - Now is the time, today is the day of salvation.

5) The Endurance of the Ambassador. (read verses 6:3-6) - Patience or endurance is the Greek word Hupomone. This word has 3 facets of meaning: a) to bear up under hard labor. b) To survive the shock of battle. c) To remain steadfast in the face of death.
