Today's focus: Lovers of Self

There are times when it helps to look at the opposite of something when trying to understand what is right (2 Corinthians 6:14-18). As Christians do we stand out in a crowd or do we blend in with the world.

- The Last Days - a terrible or perilous time - a time of violence
  Men will have a great love for themselves

- People are naturally very concerned about themselves

1)  The love of the believer is to be directed - Mark 12:28-31

* Directed not at self but toward the Lord

2)  We can show that we are different by denying self - Mark 8:34-36.

* This is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit

3)  We have a devotion to living for him - 2 Cor. 5:14-15

We have a purpose in life: We love God, die to self, and live for him.
