The word for leave is translated __abandon____.  It also means to loosen or to leave behind.


What is the Lord saying in Genesis 2:24?

He is not telling the man to __disrespect___ his parents.

He is not telling the man to _ignore___ or __forget__ his parents.

He is telling the man to switch his __primary___ allegiance.

He is telling the man his primary ___help__ is no longer from his parents.

He is telling the man to be __glued_ to his wife.
