Text: I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:11-14

Listen as Rob Caine brings us a message about the return of Christ.  The bible speaks of Christ return but do we really believe it could happen at any time and are we ready for his return today?

In  I Thessalonians 4:13-18 we see an event that is known as the rapture; here we see that Christ is coming back.  In I Corinthians 15:50-52 we see that we shall be changed. When will this take place? In James 5:7-9 we see that the "coming of the Lord is at hand".  Hebrews 10:23-25  says "as you see the day approaching". I Peter 4:7 states that "the end of all things is near". I John 2:18 refers to the "last hour". If these writers believed that the end was near then just how much closer are we today? God is not bound by time because to him a 1000 years is as a day and a day is like a 1000 years. God created time but he is not bound by it.

Next we must ask ourselves if we are ready?  Titus 2:11-14.  How can you be ready? 1st you must be saved (vs.11) The possibility for salvation exists for all men through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross (vs. 12). 2nd you must deny sin a place in your life. We should not be looking for security and pleasure in this world but looking toward the blessed hope.
