As we continue our study in the book of Hebrews we need to go back to the book of John to better understand the advantages of Christ's humanity.

Do you belong to Jesus and are you certain you belong?  If you are not in Christ you will die in your sins. (vs.38) Jesus tells them that they are following their father - Satan. They claimed that Abraham was their father but they did not do the deeds of Abraham. (vs. 39)

If we claim God as our father (vs. 42) then we will love Jesus by 1) Demonstrating our love for Jesus by sharing him with others. 2) By enjoying obeying his commands 3) By loving the thought of his appearing.

In vs. 44 we see how to identify those who are following Satan - He does not stand in the truth.

This is  lesson #7 in a study of canonicity, a study about where we get our Bible.  This week we continue our look at Biblical Archeology and its role in authenticating the bible. Your instructor again this week is Elder Steve Bartlett  .
