True Blessings

If you look back in the book of Exodus 19:12 you see that God is not approachable. Mt. Sini was a place about God's Holiness and God's Law. we see that limits were put in place and that a violation of these limits resulted in the death penalty. This is a picture of the law and how its burden is more than man can bear. The author of Hebrews makes the contrast with the approachability of God then and the approachability of God in Heaven.

Blessings of God:

1) The Blessing of God's presence -To be in the presence of the living God. (see also 1 Peter 1:10) there is no middle ground where you'll be as there is only Heaven and Hell.
2) The Blessing of God's judgment. (vs. 25-26) - God shacks the earth. there is allways judgment occuring. (see also 2 Peter 3:8-11). The end of the world has been told to us. Only the things of God will remain. This is a blessing because we know this is sure and God can rescue us. Our reaction should be one of thanksgiving.
