Text: Hebrews 3:7-19

Listen as Pastor Thad explains this difficult section from the book of Hebrews as the writer shows his concern for the reader with warnings.

* Example of the Israelites - "went astray in their hearts"
* The "rest"
* Use of the word "we" in chapter 2 of Hebrews
* "you who have an unbelieving heart"
* Are the readers believers or nonbelievers?
* From religion to relationship
* Our faith does not change depending on the situation we are in
* A true test of whether you believe something is your faithfulness  to that belief
* Partakers we are if we hold fast in our confidence to the end.

Text: I Corinthians 15:1-11

Is your life different as a result of the resurrection? That is a question we must ask ourselves on a daily basis. Looking at the apostle Paul we see:

1. A life of declaration. (vs. 1-2)
2. A life of dedication. (vs. 3-4)
3. A man of humility. (vs. 5-11)

Are you able to say "Thank you God for my salvation."?

Text: Mark 15:21

Simon of Cyrene Who was this man and how did he help Jesus carry the cross? How did he happen to be on the road that day and how did his life change as a result?

1) We see that there are no accidents with the Lord.
2) Simon carried his burden to Calvary's hill.
3) The carrying of the cross was life changing.

Has there been a change in your life today?

Missions Conference 2008 - "God's Long Leash" Text: Jonah 1:4-10

Missions Conference 2008

Christian Bastke from International Christian Leader Training brings us a message on missions. What does God do when we do the opposite of what he asks?

* God acts with great power when his will is opposed.
* God's disiplenary action.
* God is determined to keep us from ruining ourselves to a point beyond restoration.
* It is for our growth & grace in Christ (Phil. 1:6)
* No ordinary storm - Jonah sleeps while others prayed for salvation.
* Are we annoyed by the lost?
* How can we ignore the challenge and not be willing to share the Good News?

Missions Conference 2008 - "God Speaks"
Text: Jonah 1:1-3

Missions Conference 2008

Christian Bastke from International Christian Leader Training brings us a message on God speaking to Christians and our response to God.

* God speaks to individuals.
* When God speaks we need to listen.
* A prophet (to bubble up) is one who speaks for another.
* God has the right to speak and he expects us to act at any time.
* Our objective should be to do what God whats us to do.
* we are to share the Gospel with others just as Jonah was enlisted to share the word
* Those who do not submit to the will of God are guilty of sin (wickedness of man).
* Missionaries are sent by God to explain his grace and mercy.
* How did Jonah respond (vs.3)?
* Consequences of disobeying God
* When you run from God you must pay your own fare.
* Many Christians today are "on strike" are you?
